Matt Saunders - Lead and Bass Guitar, Vocals

The most sullen of the Big Skinny band members was born in Columbus, OH, 36 years ago. Matt asked to join the band in 2002. Initially, Matt started his musical career on the clarinet at the age of 8. At the age of 16, Matt began to rock out and he began playing the guitar. In addition, Matt plays the bass, the ukelele, and any other instruments he can find. He writes songs that are ?strange confections from my innermost soul.?

Matt has been influenced by opera, Yoko Ono, The Beatles (especially George Harrison), Punk Rock, and John Zorn.
