Bert Wartski - Lead, Rhythm and Bass Guitar

The oldest of the Big Skinny band members was born in Bangkok, Thailand 43 years ago while his father was in the military service. Bert is a founding member of Big Skinny which started in 2001. He started playing the guitar since he was 9 years old and has improved a bit in the 34 years of playing. Recently, due to necessity, Bert has began playing the bass. Bert can best describe his musical style as "Neanderthal Rock." He tries to write songs in different styles to make up for his lack of musical ability.

The Beatles are his biggest influence. However, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, Spinal Tap, The Rutles, Eddie and the Cruisers, and Marvin Berry have had huge impact on his music.
